Hamster Charm

This adorable creature has been a favorite childhood pet for many of us. Hamsters are stout-bodied and have short tails. They have small, furry ears and short legs. Their thick, silky fur can be long or short and comes in many colors. Interestingly the word hamster is derived from the German word “hamstern” which means to hoard. This is an apt description of the way in which these little creatures hoard food.
